A great session this Sunday as head trainer Jon Ritchie took the class through his excellent warm-up before leading the class through the break falls and other moves such as shoulder rolls, nip-ups, back rolls and cartwheels amongst others before taking the class through some chain wrestling.
The class found training partners as Jon Ritchie showed the students go behinds from a lock up as well as takedowns from the legs before taking the class through chain one. Some of the more experienced trainees were paired with some of the less experienced so that everyone got a chance to train with different people.
After the class was shown the whole chain they were given some free time where they had a quick break before back to practising the sequence.
Due to the decent weather the ring was set up outside while the students were doing the warm-up so that the session wouldn’t start late. After the break was over the class was split in two. The first half went outside and went through the sequence in the ring while the other half stayed inside the gym and had a great Sumo wrestling class from Hugh Mungus.
Also this week we were paid a visit from Chris Wyld who was in training for his return match for LDN.
This Wednesday at Tottenham head trainer The Grim Reaper led students through an excellent shoot based session - which included takedowns, submissions and reverals - in preperation for our upcoming shoot tournament on the 3rd of May.
Don't forget that the next Dropkixx training session will be at Purfleet on Sunday and is led by Jon Ritchie. Purfleet training starts at 10:30 A.M. and finishes at 4:30 P.M., the address of the gym is: Hugh Delarghy Hall, North Road, Purfleet, Essex, RM19 1TU.
The next training session after that will be at Tottenham on Wednesday led by The Grim Reaper. Tottenham training starts at 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., the address of the gym is: Tottenham Chances, 399 Tottenham High Road, Tottenham, N17 6QN.

 | Purfleet Gym Closed This Sunday, New Venue Announced |
Due to the Easter weekend and transport being on limited service, a decision has been made to that this Sunday the Purfleet gym will be closed. Training will resume again the following Wednesday (Tottenham) and Sunday (Purfleet). See you there!
Some of you may remember that due to problems with the venue's committee members we unfortunately had to cancel a previously advertised show at The Sidcup Working Men’s Club. We have been trying to find another venue near that area and we are pleased to announce that Dropkixx will be having its first show at The Woolwich Catholic Club on Friday the 29th of May!

A great session this Sunday as not only did we get a surprise visit from Lucy Clayden, but she also took the warm-up.
Lucy took the class through her great warm-up routine of stretching and getting the body moving and then taking the class through the break falls, various rolls, nip ups and other moves.
After this Hugh Mungus took to the mat where he began to teach the class various Sumo moves - the first ever Dropkixx sumo tournament will be held on the 17th of May -, before the students had Sumo matches with their training partners in front of the class.
After this head trainer Jon Ritchie took the class through pro moves and the various counters to them before some free mat time where the students practised some chain wrestling or bigger moves on the crash mats.
At Tottenham on Wednesday head trainer The Grim Reaper took the class through his excellent warm-up before taking the students through some great chain wrestling, from both the standing and ground position and then taking the students through some shoot drills.
